Message from the Dean
Welcome to the website of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Thammasat University. The Faculty of Pharmacy, Thammasat University was established and approved by the Thammasat University Council on April 30, 2012. It was also accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Thailand on March 19, 2013. The faculty was able to accept students to study in the academic year of 2013, which was the first year of operation.
The Faculty of Pharmacy has a mission in producing quality pharmacists in accordance with the professional standards set by the Pharmacy Council. Currently, the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Thammasat University is a six-year revised program implemented in 2020 with a total of 229 credits, taught in two branches: Pharmaceutical Care and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The course curriculum consists of general education courses, fundamental professional courses taught by the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Faculty of Medicine, and professional pharmacy courses taught by the faculty. The faculty has prepared modern and well-equipped facilities and equipment for students to learn and keep up with technology. The faculty also coordinates with public and private sector organizations, such as standard pharmaceutical factories, health service facilities such as the Thammasat University Hospital, nearby hospitals, and community pharmacy practice labs (Osotdom pharmacy store) to provide students with learning and practical experience in the pharmacy profession. In addition, during their studies, students will be developed to enhance the necessary skills for the 21st century, such as leadership skills, communication skills, digital and technology skills, work skills, and ethics.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Thammasat University, is dedicated to being a leading educational institution in research and academic services for society and communities. The faculty encourages its faculty members to conduct research that responds to the needs of society and communities by establishing specialized research units and academic service units within the faculty. The faculty integrates the knowledge and skills of its faculty members in the fields of pharmaceutical science and pharmacy management to conduct systematic research and transfer technology to communities and society. It also promotes continuous education for pharmacy professionals with the main objective of improving the quality of life for Thai people in accordance with the national economic and social policies and plans.
